Ventrian Systems

Ventrian is a privately-held software design and development firm in Sydney, Australia. We specialize in the creation of software components for Microsoft's .NET platform, in particular, modules for the DotNetNuke Web Application Framework. Our products help developers and organizations worldwide reduce their development time and effort, save money, and gain peace of mind.

Ventrian was started by Scott McCulloch in March 2005 as a direct result to spend more time in the DotNetNuke® community. Scott has been involved in the community as a member of the DotNetNuke® development team since it's inception and has co-authored the official books covering the subject. 

A natural extension to this involvement has been the development of a number of products to extend the core framework. These products were initially free (for many years) and later offered at a considerably low price (through subscription) to cover the costs of ongoing development.

They hope to differentiate themselves from their competitors through their beliefs:

1. Software does not need to be expensive to be high quality. (Low Subscription Prices)
2. Each customer should have an equal say in the future features of a product. (Feedback Center)
3. Source code should be released for everything.

Current Modules:

• Child Links is a navigation utility for DotNetNuke. The module displays the pages underneath the current page, making it perfect to display on all pages. The module is localized and allows complete customization via tokens. The module is designed for DotNetNuke 3.x and 4.x.
   
• Content Rotator is a module for rotating content between new, authenticated and un-authenticated users. The module is designed for DotNetNuke 3.x and 4.x.
   
• Feedback Center is a feedback module for DotNetNuke. The module is designed to capture feedback (suggestions) from users of your portal, allowing them to discuss and vote on each other's feedback (suggestions). The module is designed for DotNetNuke 3.x and 4.x.
   
• News Articles is a fully featured article manager for DotNetNuke. The module has evolved since version 1 of DotNetNuke, offers advanced article management functionality and has been used on many sites around the world. The module is designed for DotNetNuke 3.x and 4.x.
   
• Private Messages is a messaging module for DotNetNuke. The module has evolved since version 1 of DotNetNuke, offers advanced messaging functionality and has been used on many sites around the world. The module is designed for DotNetNuke 3.x and 4.x.
   
• Property Agent. Properties is a loose definition for any definable entity, this module allows you to customize the module for any type of property, such as "Cars", "Real Estate", "Boats", etc.
   
• Quotes is a module for DotNetNuke that displays random quotes to the user. The module is localized and allows complete customization of look & feel. The module is designed for DotNetNuke 3.x and 4.x.
   
• Shout Box is a module for DotNetNuke that allows users of your portal to shout (chat) between each other. The module is designed for DotNetNuke 3.x and 4.x.
   
• Simple Gallery is a module for managing photo(s). The module allows photo(s) to be uploaded, thumbnailed and displayed. Advanced functionality includes approval of photo(s), albums, bulk upload, search integration and syndication via RSS. The module is designed for DotNetNuke 3.x and 4.x.
   
• Subscription Tools is a set of modules for managing subscriptions within DotNetNuke. You can target content towards certain roles, allow users to signup for subscriptions and tools for the admin to manage them. The module is designed for DotNetNuke 3.x and 4.x.
   
• The Where Are They? module for dotnetnuke allows you to see other users on your site and what pages they are browsing. Optionally you can only show users browsing the current page. The module is designed for DotNetNuke 3.x and 4.x.
