Keeping It Fresh
By Buck Anderson @ 1:05 AM :: 170 Views :: Article Rating :: Tip of the Week

Here's your thought for the day - Keep It Fresh . . .

I had visited several web sites this week, and noticed that several were advertising their products as 'New for 2007'.

The only problem is it is not 2007. It is 2008. These products may already be outdated. I was looking for the new versions of these products. So, I skipped those sites in search of sites with the new 2008 products.

Since the year is now 2008 and will probably remain so for another 12 months, it is a good idea to review your site and sales pages and remove or replace any outdated references to prior years.

And while you are at it, be sure to change the DNN copyright date on your web site to 2008. It will give the impression that your site is current and up to date.

You can easily do this by going to Admin Settings > Site Settings > Copyright.

Doing so will keep your site looking fresh.

On a side note, I want to thank Kelly Ford, from DNNdev.com, for inviting me to have a blog spot on the XMod site. it is a great honor.
