First of all, I want to say that the Business listing module is awesome!! Its perfect for I'm trying to do.

I have install and config all the module and follow each steps in the instruction. Very thing seem to be fine now. but I notice that when I go to the detail view of the listing.

I see bullet point with links to allow me to click on different view of the detail page.

For example.. general info, Map ,Video and Audio.

IN your example. I see that you can separate them via Tabs. How do I configure it so that it will display tabs rather then bullet points.

Thanks,

Jacky

Hi Jacky,

We have not experienced this issue.

It could be caused by JavaScript not being enabled on your browser or the dnnp-tabs.js file was blocked during installation due to your site's file extension security.

Please check in your DotNetNuke File Manager >> Portal Root >> xmod >> packages >> BusinessDirectory folder to ensure that the dnnp-tabs.js was installed to the BusinessDirectory folder.

If the BusinessDirectory folder is not showing in your File Manager, check recursive and synchronize your folders.

If the js file is not located in this folder you can unpack the BD6.1Package1.0.zip file to your local computer and then manually add the js file, or any other missing files, to the BusinessDirectory folder.

To ensure that js files are allowed on your portal go to Host >> Host Settings >> Advanced Settings >> Other Settings >> File Upload Extensions to ensure that js is one of the allowed file extensions.

Hi Jacky,

Your welcome.

For the benefit of the community:

The issue was that in Host >> Host settings >> Other Settings >> File Upload Extensions

The extension for the js files was not included in the extension list.

When the Business Directory Xmod package was installed, the JS files could not be installed due the DotNetnuke security restriction set for the file type.

Here is a full list of file extensions that will ensure a full package install:

template,docx,xlsx,pptx,flv,swf,jpg,jpeg,jpe,gif,bmp,png,doc,csv,xls,ppt,pdf,txt,xml,xsl,css,zip,opml,mov,mpeg,mpg,wmv,js,mp3,mp4,js,ico

To ensure that all Business Directory files are correctly installed check your portal extension list before installing the package.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In regards to the tab question for the Make Inquiry form and the Sharing form:
Since these are separate DotNetNuke modules, you will need a tab aggregatror module to accomplish this.
The 2 DotNetNuke modules that I use are:
DNNstuff Aggregator module
Mandeeps Live Tabs module
Did you have to do anything special to make the Live Tabs Display properly? When I visit the business details page, the Live Tabs display properly. When I click the More Info button and it takes me to the business details page, the Live Tabs show up as bulleted links. It's strange, so I just wanted to know if there something special I need to set in the business directory. Thanks.
Joseph,
Tabs rendering as bullets indicate that the JavaScript has not run properly due to not being installed on the page or a JavaScript error has occurred prior to the call to the tabs code causing it not to render.
Typically, I would first check to see that the dnnp-tabs.js and dnnp-tabs.css files were downloaded in your BusinessDirectory folder.
File Location:
File Manager >> Portal Root >> xmod >> packages >> BusinessDirectory.
Since you mention that the tabs render when you go directly to your details page, I can only assume, without visiting your site, that the listing data that is being passed from the more info button is causing an issue.
Reply with your website URL location and we can run your page through FireFox FireBug.
Buck
